Sore
Throat in Children
What
You
Need
To Know
Sore throat goes with
colds, allergies and strep infections.
Look for
swollen lymph nodes in the jaw and
inflamed tonsils. Your child might also experience fever and
chills but not always. If your
child has strep throat, he'll have a high
fever (up to 104 degrees) and
sometimes a
rash. Strep throat is from bacteria
and tends to linger for a
while.
Avoid the use of
antibiotics since they will disrupt the immune
system and kill beneficial bacteria. Pro-biotics
(good bacteria supplement) and homeopathic
remedies are very effective for
treatment.
As an acupuncturist I
will use various methods to strengthen internal organs
to help your body fight the bacterial
invasion.
