Numbness
Therapeutic Methods
This is usually caused by
fluids or cold blocking the flow of blood and
energy in the body.
Coldness can invade
your body when you live in cold, rainy climates,
sit on damp surfaces, wade in cold water, or live
in a damp environment. When cold gets trapped in
the body, you have severe pain in the joint or
muscle, tingling and limited movement.
Damp blockage is
characterized by dull heavy pain, sometimes
numbness, with soreness and swelling of the
muscles, and pain in a fixed location.
Cold and dampness can
stagnate in your body if you have a weak kidney
and/or spleen. The pain from stagnant cold feels
the same as pain from external invasion of cold,
it's just more chronic.
Acupuncture and herbs
relieve the fluid buildup and strengthen the
organs to maintain proper distribution of
fluilds.
